This section provides copies of international and regional instruments relevant to children The instruments are categorised into three, as adopted by the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN) - including the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH).

This section provides tables summarising the status of ratification of child related instruments by African States. The instruments include, the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC); the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC); ILO Conventions on minimum age of employment and on the worst forms of child labour, and Hague Conventions on Children. The tables indicate the date when a particular instrument was ratified, acceded to, or signed.

This section provides tables on the status of submission of reports to child rights treaty bodies, namely, the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child and the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. In addition, the CLR provides a table on membership to child rights treaty bodies by African countries, listing names of individuals who have served on the treaty bodies, their countries of origin, the period of their service and the position held.

This section provides copies of all General Comments developed by child rights treaty bodies. General Comments are documents which provide interpretation of the provisions of the instrument in question, on thematic issues and they suggest approaches to implementing those provisions.
